The SuperBrunch is basically a 4 hour long buffet brunch, and it spans the Chihuly Lounge, the hotel lobby, and goes all the way to the Greenhouse Restaurant, so you can just imagine how much food there was! The menu itself was 7 pages long! It is a biannual event that Jack and I felt fortunate to attend as we currently would never be able to afford such luxurious dining (or be willing to spend that kind of money on it, anyway). I was in awe when I stepped into the hotel, there was food everywhere! And I murmured dazedly to Jack, "This must be how the kings eat everyday.."
I sent jack off to look for soy sauce because I couldn't find it anywhere, and he came back with a mysterious yellowish sauce that apparently tastes like soy sauce! So fascintating! I joked that this must be some kind of ATAS soy sauce for the rich.
I think it's quite obvious that dessert is my favourite part of any buffet, and I took almost one of every kind they had. All of them looked so pretty and delectable but taste-wise, I was pretty disappointed. Only the dessert by Chef Pascal Barbot (the one in the white bowl with the pancake-looking thing) and the chocolate cake with ice cream did it for me. I regret not using the tummy space left for more sashimi! And Jack regrets not forgoing the desserts and attacking the Cheese Bar instead, they had over 80 types of cheese! The SuperBrunch begins at 11am and ends at 3pm. Jack and I arrived at about noon, thinking that 3 hours would be more than enough for us to eat but even with 3 hours, it wasn't enough time for us to taste everything. It was crazy!
They had popcorn, candy floss, and jars of gummies and chocolate which you could fill in a little bag and bring home. I just stuffed mine full of gummy bears!
After the buffet ended, they gave all the ladies in the room a bouquet of flowers. The flowers were actually from the decor they had set up for the SuperBrunch and I thought it was a really nice way of recycling the flowers, rather than throwing them out.
With our bulging bellies, we headed over to Daiso to buy a vase for the flowers and while walking past the 'Pets' section, something caught my eye. Accordingly to the picture, it was meant for small dogs or puppies but it looked like it could fit my rabbit, Beanie, so I got it!
She wears the dress only for photo purposes and not longer than 15 minutes. So don't worry, she wasn't tortured! And she didn't seem uncomfortable in it as well. Sometimes I wonder she knows she's a bunny because she acts so much like a dog! She isn't shy or afraid of anyone, whenever my friends come over, she just hops into their lap even though it's the first time she's met them.
She is used to being handled and loves being petted so getting the little dress on her wasn't a problem. But if your bunny is acting uncomfortable or struggling, please don't force it on him/her! Hope you enjoyed Beanie's adorable pictures!
